CITIZENS CAN APPLY FOR DOMICILLARYBIRTH/DEATH CERTIFICATE THROUGH WHATSAPP AND E MAIL DURING ZONAL CSB CLOSURE IN WAKE OF PANDEMIC SITUATION OF CORONA VIRUS FOR EMERGENT CASES

To facilitate citizens during closure of Zonal CSB in wake of pandemic situation of COVID-19, the Corona Virus, North Delhi Municipal Corporation today took an important decision to receive application for Birth and Death registration through WhatsAppand e-mail for those who wish to register DOMICILLARY birth and deathin emergent cases. The citizen can now upload application with their details at WhatsAppor e-mail along-with other requisite SUPPORTIVE documents at the WhatsApp numbers given as per their jurisdiction zone. The prescribed Fees can be deposited through PayTm and online payment gateway of MCD. Ms. Varsha Joshi, Commissioner, North DMC said that we are sensitive towards National emergency and health of the citizens is of prime importance. Every possible step is being taken to prevent from Corona Virus. She said that this is one of the essential services for which citizens have to visit Citizen Service Bureau situated at zones. To facilitate emergent registration of birth and death, services are extended on line. Now, citizens can apply for birth / death certificate through WhatsAppbesides email and deposit requisite fees through PayTm and online gateway of North MCD. General Public is advised:- 1. Download Birth/Death registration form from North MCD website. 2. Fill up the form neatly. Spellings and details should be as per supportive documents. 3. The application should be from Parent of Child in case of birth and by legal heir in case of death. 4. Write applicant’s WhatsApp no. or email on application and supportive documents along with date of submission. All documents be self attested. 5. In case of any mismatch application will be rejected. 6. Scan the form and supportive documents on WhatsApp number or email of the respective zone. 7. Status of application can be seen on MCD website www.mcdonline.gov.in The officials of Zonal Registrar Offices will follow the following procedure to get the needful:- 1. Take print of application received on WhatsApp/Email. 2. Diary the application. 3. Acknowledge the receipt of application on the WhatsApp/Email and provide diary no./ ID generated for follow up by the applicant 4. Process the case. 5. Inform the PayTm no. and fee deposition process to the applicant. 6. Deposit fee and acknowledge receipt by providing G-8 no. to applicant. All zonal registrars have been directed to ensure smooth implementation of the process.
