DPCCpresident Ch. Anil Kumar takes charge at a simple function at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan today

Newly appointed president of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Ch. Anil Kumar took formal charge at a simple function at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. Before taking charge, Ch. Anil Kumar, alongwith his wife, took part in a pooja and hawan, accompanied by Vedic mantras, at the Rajiv Bhawan premises. He also visited the Kalkaji Devi Temple to offer his prayers in the morning. DPCC president Ch. Anil Kuamr also garlanded the portrait of former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi at the DPCC office. Former DPCC president Shri Subhash Chopra, who handed over charge to Ch. Anil Kumar, former PCC president Shri Ajay Maken, newly-appointed DPCC vice-presidents Shri Jaikishan, Shri Abhishek Dutt, Ms. Shivani Chopra, Shri Mudit Agarwal and Shri Ali Mehndi were also present. Senior Congress leaders and former MPs Shri Jagdish Tytler, Shri Parvez Hashmi, Shri Udit Raj, Shri Ramesh Kumar, former DPCC working presidents Shri Haroon Yusuf and Shri Devender Yadav, former Delhi Ministers Dr Kiran Walia, Dr Narendra Nath, Dr Yoganand Shastri, Shri Ramakant Goswami and Shri Mangat Singhal, former MLA S/Shri Anil Bhardwaj, Vijay Lochav, Ch. Mateen Ahmed, Vipin Sharma, Veer Singh Dhingan, Jaswant Rana, Malaram Gangwal, Tarwinder Singh Marwah, Amrish Singh Gautam, Bhisham Sharma, all district and Block Congress Committee presidents, Municipal Councillors, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, Seva Dal and NSUI office-bearers were also present. Ch. Anil Kumar expressed his gratitude to Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi for appointing him as the DPCC president. He assured that he would spare no effort in strengthening the party in Delhi at the grass-root level to fulfill the faith reposed in him by the party leadership. He said that he will take the senior leaders and all shades of opinion into consideration to strengthen the party across Delhi.
Ch. Anil Kumar, expressing his concern at the spread of Corona virus, said that he took charge at a simple ceremony due to the deadly Corona virus scare. The Pradesh Congress had made arrangements for hand sanitizers and masks as a precaution against the virus. Ch. Anil Kumar assured that the Congress workers will function unitedly to strengthen the party at the booth-level and he will interact with the workers separately, and according to the competence and capacity of each worker, party responsibilities would be entrusted. “Sabko Kaam, Sabko Samman” would be my motto, he assured.
