North Delhi Mayor inspected Hindu Rao Hospital and MVID Hospital for Coronavirus preparedness and isolation ward

North Delhi Mayor, Mr. Avtar Singh today inspected Hindu Rao Hospital and Maharishi Valmiki Infectious Disease Hospital (MVID) to check preparedness for prevention of coronavirus and wards prepared for patients. During the inspection DEMS Committee Chairman, Mr. Raja Iqbal Singh and Senior officials were also present. During the inspection, the officials informed Mayor that 50 bedded ward has been prepared for coronavirus patients. Officials informed that separate wards have been set up for patients and suspects of coronavirus. The nursing home of Hindu Rao Hospital has been converted into a ward for Coronavirus patients, while the newly constructed Boys hostel of Hindu Rao Medical College has been converted into a ward of suspected patients. Mr. Avtar Singh directed the officials to take all safety measures for doctors, nurses and other staff. He said that our first task is to provide primary health service to the citizens and in order to deal with the global health disaster like Coronavirus, it is necessary for us that our doctors, nurses and other staff to take all safety measures first. During the inspection of MVID Hospital, Mayor checked all the safety measures to deal with coronavirus suspects. Besides above, Mayor, Mr. Avtar Singh also got the offices of North and South Delhi Municipal Corporation situated at “A” Block of Dr. SPM Civic Centre sanitized. He also agreed to extend the help in sanitizing Khalsa College in DU Campus.
