 MAYOR CALLS A HIGH LEVEL MEETING OF MUNICIPAL FUNCTIONARIES TO DISCUSS SALARY ISSUE OF THE SANITATION STAFF

            North Delhi Mayor, Mr. Jai Prakash  today convened a high level meeting of the senior Corporation functionaries to discuss salary issue of the sanitation staff which was attended by Chairman Standing Committee, Mr. Chhail Bihari Goswami; Leader of the House, Mr. Yogesh Verma; Dy. Chairman Standing Committee, Mr. Vijendra Yadav; DEMS Committee, Chairman, Mr. Surjeet Thakur, Narela Ward Committee Chairman, Mr. Jayender Dabas, Keshavpuram Ward Committee Chairman, Mr. Jogi Ram Jain, Karol Bagh Ward Committee Chairman, Mr. Tejram Four, Rohini Ward Committee Chairman, Mr. Alok Verma, Municipal Commissioner, Mr. Gyanesh Bharti Addl. Cmrs. , Ms. Swati Sharma, Mr. Sandip Jacques and Mr. Sunil Bhadu and other senior officials were also present.

            During the meeting Mayor discussed all the issue pertains to the Sanitation workers. He said that were are trying very hard to full fill all the demands of the sanitation workers in a phase manner. 

The financial situation was discussed at length.  It was desired that the revenue generation be further intensified and all due recoveries be given due care. The defaulters be given opportunity to pay their dues in due time. Mayor, Mr. Jai Prakash appealed the striking staff to resume their duties as they are trying arrange for the finances to pay the due salaries. He said that the salary will be disbursed as per the availability of funds Group wise. He hoped that permanent solution to the situation will certainly come.
