New Delhi, 27 February. The National President of Bharatiya Janata Party SC Morcha Shri Lal Singh Arya has said the ideals of equality and unity and brotherhood as propagated by Sant Ravidas and others are also being followed by the Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi in his work philosophy of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas aur Sabka Vishwas.
Speaking at the 644th Jayanti programme of the Sant Ravidas here on Saturday, he said people today change the definition of society, religion or politics according to the prevailing times but the saints of that era always stuck to their time tested ideals and principles.
The BJP Delhi President Shri Adesh Gupta, speaking on the occasion, said the way Sant Ravidas lived a simple life and shaped his personality is a living example for us to follow even today. He said he was always a source of inspiration for the Indian society. Shri Gupta said the path shown by the sant of equality and taking all together inspires us even today as his philosophy was one should always do constructive work for the betterment of the society. In fact, Shri Modi is following the same principles now for the overall betterment of the society, he added.
The former Union Minister, Shri Satya Narain Jatiya, said his party always respects sants and religious heads and follows their ideals. Sant Ravidas’ entire life was devoted to people’s welfare and same should be our ideal in politics too, he added. The State Vice President Shri Karam Singh Karma, Secretary Smt. Sunita Kangra, President of State SC Morcha Shri Bhupendra Gothwal and its Mocha Office bearers were present on the occasion.
