PM Modi has brought Valmiki community into mainstream-Adesh Gupta

New Delhi, 20 October. Floral tributes were paid to Maharishi Valmiki on his birth anniversary at a function organised by state BJP anusuchit jati morcha here today in which some eminent people of the society were also honoured. Among the chief guests were party national general secretary and MP Shri Dushyant Gautam, national president of party anusuchit jati morcha Shri Lal Singh Arya, state party president Shri Adesh Gupta, central minister Shri L Murgan, state organizational general secretary Shri Siddharthan, morcha’s national general secretary Shri Sanjay Nirmal and Delhi morcha’s president Shri Bhupendra Gothwal besides others. The programme was conducted by morcha state general secretary Shri Karamvir Chandel.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dushyant Gautam said the maharishi Valmiki is a source of inspiration for all of us because he teaches us value and power of pen. In fact,  Valmiki community is one such which from the Mughal times has tried to protect the country’s cultural ethos and traditional values. In fact, real tributes to him would be to take a resolve as to why and in which direction we have to move so that the country is safe.

He said even today the people from anusuchit jati are being wooed on false promises but we are not going to fall for that. We would rather support those who actually resolve our children’s problems, gives safety to our women and bring us into mainstream for national building, he said adding it is here under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi that Valmiki community has been truly connected with the mainstream of society and we are thankful to him for that.

Shri Adesh Gupta said Maharishi Valmiki’s life inspires us in many ways.  His life is a message of unity for us all. Even during the days of slavery, the maharishi never compromised with his ideals, principles for selfish interests and always kept our traditions and culture on the top. Following his ideals, the Valmiki community has been able to establish itself as strong and principled community contributing its might towards country’s development.

Shri Gupta, thanking prime minister Shri Narender Modi, said the way his government has brought about a slew of welfare programmes and policies for all sections of the society, particularly for backwards and anusuchit jatis is commendable and for all to see. In fact, our municipal corporations are doing many such programmes which are beneficial for Valmiki community. Not only this we would launch a special campaign soon for Valmiki people which would try to remove any doubt created by other parties about them, he added. Both Shri Arya and Shri Murgan also spoke on the occasion.
