114 victim families of 1984 genocide to get pending ex-gratia compensation soon : Manjinder Singh Sirsa
New Delhi, December 17: BJP Sikh leader Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa today said that 114 victim families of 1984 genocide will get pending ex-grating compensation soon and 73 families will also get job letters for their members. In a statement issued here today after meeting with Divisional Commissioner Delhi Mr. Sanjeev Khirwar on this issue, Mr. Sirsa said that he has taken up issue of pending ex-gratia compensation of some victim families. He said that Divisional Commissioner informed him that 114 pending files of ex-gratia compensation are being cleared and these families will get amount without any further delay. Mr. Sirsa also said that he also discussed issue of jobs to these families as per High Court order on which Mr. Sanjeev Khirwar informed him that out of 73, job letters for few are being sent immediately whereas remaining families will get these letters in coming days. He said that he was personally monitoring progress of these cases and will ensure that every victim family not only gets compensation and jobs but also ensure those behind this worst ever genocide on earth will get punishments for their acts. Mr. Sirsa said that Sajjan Kumar is serving life term in one case and will get convicted in one more related with Saraswati Vihar case of murder of father-son due. He said that similarly we are pursuing cases against Jagdish Tytler and will also ensure that Kamalnath too faces trial and get jail for his role in 1984 Sikh genocide.
