Congress’ Nyay Patra (Manifesto) will ensure qualitative improvement in the lives of all category of people by implementing transparent governance at the Centre—Arvinder Singh Lovely

NEW DELHI, April 5, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely said that the Congress Nyay Patra (Manifesto) for the Lok Sabha elections, released today, was a comprehensive document of five “Nyay and 25 Guarantees”, to provide justice and relief to all category of people, who have been deceived and cheated by the BJP Government at the Centre in the past 10 years. He said that people have borne the brunt of price rise, unemployment and the mismanagement of the economy by the BJP Government, and the Congress manifesto was a sure assurance of better lives ahead. 

 

Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely said that the Congress manifesto released jointly by Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi, Shri K.C. Venugopal and Chairman of the Manifesto Committee Shri P.Chidambaram, has promised to bring qualitative and quantitative changes, as well as social justice, in the lives of youth, women, farmers and labour. He said that Congress party’s focus will be on the improvement of lives of not a particular individual, but to make the lives of 95 per cent of the people in the country better and secure. He said that after winning the Lok Sabha elections, Congress’ top most priority would be to implement all its 25 guarantees in its Nyay Patra, as Congress would live upto its promise of “Haath Badlega Halaat”.

 

Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely said that the  India Alliance, led by Congress, will sweep the Lok Sabha elections, and after coming to power, it will implement all its promises in the manifesto without fail. He said that the Congress Government at the Centre has a glorious tradition of fulfilling all its promises for the uplift of the people and the development of the city, and this time too, Congress will certainly live upto to its promises. He said that Congress will fill up 30 lakh vacancies in various Central Government offices to provide jobs to the unemployed youth, financial independence and security to women, and assured MSP to the farmers and farm products will be brought out of the ambit of GST, besides writing off the debts of the farmers. He said thsat Congress implemented unprecedented development works in Delhi during its 15-year governance, to make the Capital one of the most modern and beautiful cities in the world.

 

Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely said that over 50 per cent reservation to people from the downtrodden section, including Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, will be introduced through Constitutional amendment, to lift their lives and bring them to the mainstream of life. He said that those who get employment through MGNREGA Act will be given a minimum wage of Rs 400.

 

Shri Lovely said that Congress will bring schemes to improve the GDP of the country, and corruption will be wiped out from the country by ensuring transparent governance at the Centre, unlike the authoritarian ways of the Modi Government,  which had compromised all democratic institutions.
