Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge appoints ex-MLA and CWC member Shri Devender Yadav as Interim President of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee

 


NEW DELHI, —Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed Shri Devender Yadav, ex-MLA, and Congress Working Committee member and AICC In-charge of Punjab as Interim President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.

 

Shri Devender Yadav expressed his heart-felt thanks to Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi, Smt. Priyanka Gandhi, Shri K.C.Venugopal and Shri Deepak Babaria for entrusting him with such a crucial responsibility at a challenging time when the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi are at the door-step. He promised to make his best efforts, along with the senior leaders and the grass-root workers, to ensure the victory of all the three Congress candidates as well as the four India Alliance candidates, to make a clean sweep in the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi.

 

Congress workers and leaders are greatly enthusiastic about Shri Devender Yadav’s appointment as Interim President of the DPCC, which will give a tremendous boost to the Congress campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi.

 

Congress, AAP leaders hold a meeting to plan  joint strategy for the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi and Haryana

 

NEW DELHI,—Senior leaders of Delhi Congress and Aam Aadmi Party held a meeting at the Constitution Club to plan the joint campaign strategy of India Alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi and Haryana to ensure the victory of all India Alliance candidates in both these States. Prominent among those who addressed the meeting were AICC General Secretary and In-charge of Delhi and Haryana Shri Deepak Babaria, AAP General Secretary (Organisation) Shri Sandeep Pathak, Delhi Congress Interim President Shri Devender Yadav, Chairman of the Election Management Committee and Co-ordination Committee Shri Subhash Chopra, Chairman of the DPCC Communications Department Shri Anil Bhardwaj, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Udaya Bhan, Working President Shri Jitender Bhardwaj, senior MLA Shri Aftab, AAP MLAs Shri Durgesh Pathak and Shri Rajesh Gupta.

 

The meeting discussed the co-ordination between the Congress and AAP leaders and workers for the smooth campaigning of the Congress and AAP candidates, who are jointly fighting the Lok Sabha elections under the India Alliance banner. Both the parties agreed to forge a total understanding at the ground level to fight the elections and  finalise a roadmap of the joint election strategy to be drawn up in the next couple of days. It was also decided to hold joint meetings of both Congress and AAP and have people-contact interactions  for fully activating the ground level workers in both Delhi and Haryana to teach the BJP an unforgettable lesson and win all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi and 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana.
