Chandigarh, 3rd, April.

The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former President of the Haryana Congress, Incharge of Uttarakhand, Member of the Congress Working Committee, and former Union Minister, Kumari Selja said that the BJP-led state government is conspiring to keep the children of Mewat illiterate. The conspiracy is to close down the model schools opened to provide these children with good education. Even after being organized in the Education Department, the staff of these schools have to wait for months for their salaries. Sometimes they have to raise their voices to obtain appointment letters, and sometimes they have to struggle for a unique ID.

In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that the establishment of Mevati model schools was done under the Mewati Model School Society. These schools operate on the pattern of CBSE, and their affiliation is also with CBSE. This society was operated under the Mewat Development Authority. However, the immediate past government of the BJP-JJP alliance government stripped them of their authority and brought them under the Education Department. Since then, the crisis of not getting salaries for months has arisen in front of nearly 250 teachers and more than 100 non-teaching staff. The former Union Minister said that after the organization, the staff deployed in the schools have not been issued appointment letters by the Education Department. What is surprising is that these schools also had to struggle for a unique ID. Many times, the staff had to wait for months for their salaries. Now they have been waiting for salary for three months again.Kumari Selja said that 08 model schools were opened in Mewat to improve the quality of education. Due to the hard work of the staff and teachers in these, results started coming as expected. However, the BJP government did not digest this progress and started plotting to close down the better education options in Mewat. Under this conspiracy, the organization of Mewati model schools was transferred to the Education Department. The former Union Minister said that the state government should immediately issue appointment letters to the staff of these schools, taking their oath. Also, it should ensure that there is no delay in their salaries. In addition to this, action should be taken against the officers who do not issue appointment letters to the teachers and staff of these schools under the Education Department when they come under it.
