Congress committed to remedy the problems of the country's business community--Devender Yadav

NEW DELHI, ---Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Devender Yadav addressed a conference of  traders "Samvad Se Samadhan" under the Town Hall program near Jama Masjid, and assured them that Congress was committed to  solve the problems of traders in Chandni Chowk Assembly. Shri Devender Yadav said that Congress candidate for the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha  seat Shri Shri Jai Prakash Aggarwal was a very familiar face to the people of the constituency, as he had been MP from the constituency many times and had served the people of Chandni Chowk sincerely, and would continue to serve them.

 

Representatives of business organizations participated in the “Samvad Se Samadhan” town hall programme. Apart from DPCC president Shri. Devender Yadav, prominent others who attended it were Shri Ajay Arora, Shri Anil Kukreja, Atma Prakash Agarwal, Mohammad Usman, Rahul Sharma, Sushil Goyal, Pradeep Gupta, Naresh Aggarwal and Rakesh.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that the entire Chandni Chowk area was dominated by the business community, whose problems have not been addressed in the last 10 years. He said that the purpose of the Town Hall programme is to directly interact with the business people, and understand the problems and issues related to their business organizations and find solutions to them. He thanked all those present at the Town Hall for expressing their views freely and frankly, and assured them that Congress would make every effort to solve their problems on  a priority basis.

 

Shri Yadav said that Congress had brought a simple form of GST but the BJP government made it difficult and the same problem happened after the implementation of FDI due to which big and small traders were greatly affected. He said that Shri Rahul Gandhi has been highlighting   the  problems of the business community and the traders regularly as the  BJP had not fulfilled even a single promise made to the traders in the last 10 years. He said that  the BJP protected the interest of  only a select few big business houses, ignoring the plight of the  small and medium traders  regarding MSME.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that traders and businessmen were working with limited infrastructure in Chandni Chowk, which is called the heart of Delhi, and the government is trying to shift your market form here to somewhere else. He raised the question of whether there was  a plan to shift the market to a place with proper infrastructure so that the traders can conduct their business smoothly. He assured the representatives of the business organizations and small and medium businessmen present their demands so that immediately after the India Alliance comes to power at the Centre, their problems could be tackled on a priority basis to find a lasting solution.

NEW DELHI, ---Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Devender Yadav today held an important meeting with the people of Chandni Chowk Assembly at the DPCC  office, Rajiv Bhawan in connection with the preparations for Shri Rahul Gandhi's rally at the Ramlila ground,  Ashok Vihar tomorrow, Saturday, which was presided over by All India Mahila Congress president Ms. Alka Lamba.

 

Apart from Shri Devender Yadav and Alka Lamba, others present at the meeting were prominent workers and leaders from Chandni Chowk, including those who contested the MCD elections   Rahul Sharma, Charan Handa and Shaheen Parveen from the Jama Masjid ward, Praful Joshi, Sudesh Sharma, Ajit Poddar, Ram Nath, Alankrit Marwah, Deepu, Rakesh Kashyap, Vinay Kumar Jareena and Naseem Ahmed.

 

Addressing the meeting, Shri Devender Yadav said that to make the public meeting of Shri Rahul Gandhi at Ashok Vihar a grand success, it was the responsibility of every Congress worker to reach out to as many people as possible, particularly in the Chandni Chowk constituency where Rahulji will be addressing his first public meeting in Delhi for the Lok Sabha elections. He said that the BJP government, which has been surviving on the basis of lies and falsehood, can be replaced by casting the vital votes of the people for the Congress and India Alliance candidates . He requested the Congress workers and leaders  to go door-to-door to ensure the victory of our candidates in the Lok Sabha elections and strengthen Shri Rahul Gandhi’s fight  for justice, to save democracy and the Constitution, by delivering Congress's Nyay Guarantee Card to every house.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that Congress workers  would have to fight shoulder to shoulder with Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji for his fight for justice for the youth, women, labour, farmers, dalits, backward classes, deprived, lower and middle class to be successful. He said that after the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, it was clear that India Alliance was getting overwhelming support from the people, and the people of Delhi should also come out and vote for India Alliance candidates to shatter BJP’s hopes of crossing “400 par”.

 

  Ms. Alka Lamba said that Congress workers at all the polling booths of Chandni Chowk Assembly are distributing the 5 Nyay and 25 Guarantee cards given in the Congress manifesto (Nyay Sankalp) to every voter door to door, and people's support for the Congress party  has been  continuously increasing. She said that every Congress worker has been given duty  in the entire Chandni Chowk Assembly to campaign for Congress candidate Shri Jai Prakash Aggarwal and ensure his victory.
