Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav offers floral tribute to Rajiv Gandhi Ji on his 33rd martyrdom at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan.

NEW DELHI, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav, along with a large number of Congress workers and leaders, offered floral tribute to Bharat Ratna, late Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi Ji, on his 33rd martyrdom at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. Shri Devender Yadav also garlanded the bronze bust of Rajiv Ji at the DPCC office. Early in the morning, Shri Devender Yadav also paid homage to Rajiv Ji at his Samadhi at Veer Bhoomi, along with Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji, Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji and Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge Ji.

 

Besides Shri Devender Yadav, prominent others who offered floral tribute at the portrait of Rajiv Ji at the DPCC office were ex-MLAs Bisham Sharma, Amrish Gautam and Surender Kumar, AICC secretary Amrita Dhawan,  District presidents Adesh Bhardwaj, Rajesh Chauhan, Mirza Javed Ali, Dharampal Chandela, Vishnu Agarwal, Satbir Sharma, ex-Councillor Ishwar Bhagri, Mohammad Usman, J.P.Pawar, Delhi Sewa Dal Chief Organiser Sunil Kumar, Delhi Pradesh Mahila Congress president Pushpa Singh, Naresh Sharma Neetu, Subham Sharma, Delhi Pradesh Minority Department chairman Abdul Wahid Qureshi and a large number of workers of women’s Congress, NSUI, Youth Congress and Sewa Dal.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that Shri Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed his life for the unity, integrity and progress of the country, and the people of India will never forget his supreme sacrifice. He said that Rajiv Gandhi Ji was a visionary leader who brought in telecom revolution, and introduced computer era to the country, and the results of his visionary steps have borne fruits as Indian youths have emerged as a major force in the digital revolution. Shri Devender Yadav said that Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s decision to introduce Panchayati Raj for the devolution of power to the local panchayats for the overall progress and development of the country, had witnessed amazing results. He said that it was Rajiv Ji’s vision to make India strong both economically and developmentally to set the process of  making the country “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”, and this dream of Rajiv Ji will be fully realized by Shri Rahul Gandhi through Congress’ 5 Nyay and 25 guarantees given in the Congress manifesto when the I.N.D.I.A. Alliance Government comes to power at the Centre.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that PM Narendra Modi was misleading the people with the “400 paar” slogan, but Shri Rajiv Gandhi had achieved this historic feat without indulging in theatrics or misleading the people with false promises, to become the youngest Prime Minister of the country, and the record still stands. He said that due to Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s vision and action, India can stand confidently with the economic powers of the world, and when Modi goes out of power on June 4 when the people of the country vote him out, I.N.D.I.A. Alliance will resume the unfinished works of Shri Rajiv Gandhi to make India “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”.
