The ongoing Arabian Travel Market 2024 (ATM) being held at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), is a four-day event organised by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DEAT). This 31st edition of ATM is themed "Innovation – Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship." With over 2,300 exhibitors from more than 165 countries and approximately 41,000 attendees, ATM 2024 serves as a major hub for networking and B2B meetings.
The event is successfully attracting a daily influx of five to six thousand individuals towards the Uttar Pradesh tourism pavilion. These visitors, hailing from various countries, are keen to acquaint themselves with the tourism destinations and opportunities in the state. Uttar Pradesh's rapidly growing tourism sector is proving enticing to investors, with discussions underway for triangular pilgrimage packages covering Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. Additionally, there is burgeoning interest in visitors for the state’s Sufi Circuit which is marked with extraordinary history, traditions, monuments, cruising and culture. The state is also showcasing its flourishing wedding destinations and health and wellness sector, which are also generating great interest in visitors.
The state has rapidly evolved into the most favoured tourist destination worldwide, with a staggering 48,01,27,191 tourists visiting in the year 2023, registering an increase of nearly 50% from 2022. This surge in tourist numbers is opening up boundless avenues for investment and employment. The Uttar Pradesh government is also providing various facilities to investors, which is why prospective investors at the Arabian Travel Market are showing keen interest in investing in the state.
The state known for religious tourism is marked with prominent tourism destinations such as Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. The upcoming Mahakumbh next year is also expected to draw millions of devotees from across the nation and the globe. Operators at the Arabian Travel Market are deliberating on creating triangular spiritual packages encompassing these three tourism hotspots, aiming to attract visitors to explore these globally renowned locations within an attractive package. Furthermore, attendees at the market are seeking information on health and wellness as well as Ayurveda.

The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is showcasing the rich and diverse tourism destinations of Uttar Pradesh to international tourists and travel tour operators through its pavilion. Highlights include the temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Mahakumbh, major sites associated with Lord Buddha, Chunar Fort, Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, the Sufi Circuit, Chitrakoot, and other tourist attractions across the state.
