DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav interacts with Congress workers and leaders to take suggestions/opinions to strengthen the party at the booth-level, and prepare the roadmap for the coming Delhi Assembly elections

 


Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav today addressed the Executive Committee meetings of Adarsh Nagar   and Karawal Nagar District Congress Committees to take suggestions/opinions on how to further strengthen the party and consolidate the gains at the grass-root level, and the problems they face, to prepare the roadmap for the party’s rejuvenation.

 

The Adarsh Nagar District Congress Committee Executive Committee meeting was held at the   Grand Utsav Banquet Hall, Rani Bagh, near NDPL office, and it was organised by Shri Manoj Yadav, president of the Adarsh Nagar District Congress Committee. The Karawal Nagar District Congress Committee Executive Committee meeting, organised by district president Shri Adesh Bhardwaj, was held at the Surya Prime Banquet Hall, Nathupura Mode Burari. A resolution was passed that monthly meetings of District and Block Congress Committees will be held, party flags will be hoisted at the residences of all District and Block Congress Committee workers, contacts will be established with various social organizations, RWAs amd NGOs to take them into the  Congress fold.

 

Besides Shri Devender Yadav, prominent among those who attended these meetings were Shri Kanhaiya Kumar, former Delhi Govt.  Minister Shri Mangat Ram Singhal, Communication Deptt. Chairman and Ex MLA Anil Bhardwaj, Ex MLAs Hari Shankar Gupta, Hasan Ahmed and Shadi Ram, senior leaders Chattar Singh, Kamalkant Sharma, Mudit Agarwal, Sidharth Rao, S.P. Singh, Mahila DCC President Ravita Paul, Ex MCs Roshan Lal Ahuja and Devraj Arora,  Abha Chaudhary, all block presidents and office bearers of DCC  and BCC.

 

Shri Devender Yadav, addressing the Congress workers, said that it was a matter of great pride  for the Congress workers  that Congress party’s vote share had gone up in the recent Lok Sabha elections, which was an encouraging sign that people were once again looking up to the Congress party to provide good governance in Delhi. He said that the Capital had witnessed unprecedented developments when Congress was in power in Delhi for 15 years, and people still recall those good days. He said that Delhiites have to  struggle to get potable water now and frequent power cuts, water-logging, air and water pollution have made their lives miserable.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that discussions and interactions with the grass-root level workers will be a regular feature to strengthen the party at the booth level, which will put the party in a commanding position when Delhi goes to Assembly polls. He said that Congress workers should continue their hard work to further strengthen the party at the ground level by reaching out to the people, and finding solutions to their problems.

 

Shri  Devender Yadav said that the  Congress workers  should not lower their guard and diminish  their enthusiasm as under the dynamic leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi, the party was poised for a major leap, because people were now looking for change and want able and stable leadership.
