DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav appeals to Congress workers to strive hard to strengthen the party

 


Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav today addressed an Executive Committee meeting of the Rohini District Congress Committee at Mahendra Pradhan Dharmshala, Swaroop Nagar and appealed to the Congress workers to strive hard to strengthen the party at the ground level. He said that  people were now looking upto the Congress to save Delhi from its present plight of misgovernance and disturbed state of civic services, as the AAP Government had totally neglected Delhiites for the past 10 years. He also appealed to the Congress workers to hoist the party flag atop their houses to widen the reach of the party, and popularize the programmes and policies of the party. The meeting was organised by District president Shri Indrajit Singh, and attended by the District and Block Congress Committee office-bearers and a large number of Congress workers.

 

Besides Shri Devender Yadav, prominent others who attended the meeting were Communication Deptt. Chairman & Ex MLA Shri Anil Bhardwaj, Ex MLA Surender Kumar, Inderjeet Singh, Jitender Baghela, Sumesh Gupta, Sidharth Kundu, Ex MCs Maharnarayan Mishra, Aruna and Rajkumari Gupta.

 

shri Devender Yadav said that the main purpose of organizing such a meeting was to strengthen the party at the booth level by activating not only the Congress foot soldiers, but also involving local people, social and charitable organizations in the party’s activities as people have now realized that only Congress can provide good governance and fulfill their demands. He said that with Jan Nayak Shri Rahul Gandhi taking over as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, the voice of the Common people will be heard and their prayers answered as it was Rahul Ji who had been consistently and fearlessly speaking up for the common people inside and outside the House.

 

Shri Devender Yadav also appealed to the Congress workers to keep in regular touch with the local residents and find remedies to their problems. He also appealed to the Block and District Congress Committee presidents to convene meetings of Congress workers over a cup of tea on the 2nd and 5th of every month to motivate and bring out the Congress workers from their homes and involve them in the activities of the party, which will create a very big impact among the  people
