Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav today inaugurated the Sadbhavana Kavad Shivir camps at Jaffrabad (Seelampur) and main road, Shastri Park, and inspected the arrangements made for the Kavad pilgrims for rest and relaxation on way to Hardwar to fetch the holy Ganga water and back, for the abolution of the holy water on the idols of Lord Shiva on Shivratri.
Shri Devender Yadav said that the Sadbhavana Kavad Shivir camp at Jaffrabad, organised by District Congress Committee president Shri Zubair Ahmed, and his father and ex-MLA Shri Matin Ahmed earlier, for the past 30 years, was a perfect example of religious unity and harmony, as the Muslim community joins in the organization of the Sadbhavana Kavad Shivir Camp wholeheartedly, to make all the necessary arrangements for the pilgrims in the tents.
Besides Shri Devender Yadav, others present on the occasion were ex-MLAs Shri Matin Ahmed and Shri Hassan Ahmed, Chairman of the Communications Department and ex-MLA Shri Anil Bhardwaj, Municipal Councillors Smt. Shagufta, Haji Zameer, Haji Jaleel, Chairman of the Minority Department Shri Abdul Wahid Qureshi, Naseer Javed and Javed Barqi.
Shri Devender Yadav appealed to the Kavad pilgrims to peacefully undertake the pilgrimage by adhering to traffic rules and regulations, and discipline on the road, so as to make their holy march peaceful and enlightening.
