Teachers Are Working in An Extremely Frustrating Circumstances As They Are Forced to Fail Students in Class IX & XI - Virendra Sachdeva

Kejriwal Government Misusing Schools To Politically Inflence First Time Voters - Virendra Sachdeva

New Delhi:
Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva has said that the duo of Manish Sisodia & Ms. Atishi have badly damaged the school education system of Delhi, they have not recruited regular teachers nor guest teachers and have diverted teachers to non teaching duties thereby leading to one of the worst teacher student ratio in Delhi government schools.

Shri Sachdeva has said BJP never wants to do politics on education department working but Minister Ms. Atishi has today forced us to put in public domain as to how Kejriwal government has damaged the education system of Delhi.

Delhi today in 2024 has 995 normal schools as compared to 1015 in 2015 when Arvind Kejriwal government first came to power and these 10 years they have not hired any new regular or guest teachers.

The other 32 schools for specialized education totally lack facilities are some of them worst schools.

As per the Right to Education statistics Delhi government schools need around 62000 teachers while there are only around 43000 teachers alongwith around 13000 guest teachers. There is a a lack of around 6000 teachers in Delhi Government schools.

Delhi government schools lack teachers yet Kejriwal Government has diverted over 5000 teachers to non teaching duties thus badly effecting teaching in schools.

Shockingly school teachers are forced to do clerical duties, work as legal assistants and work as OSDs to senior officials.

Despite lack of 6000 teachers the Sisodia - Atishi duo has removed almost 5000 teachers from teaching duties.

205 teachers have been made School Mentors while 1027 have been made Scool Coordinators while another 1027 have been made Teacher Development Coordinator and they now don't perform any teaching duty.

70 teachers who have law qualification have been diverted to work on Education department's legal assistants while another 102 teachers are forced to work as OSDs to the Deputy & Assistant Directors of Education in the education department.

Posts of around 5200 clerks & accounts staff in Delhi government schools are vacant. While on half of them contract employees have been kept at a salary of Rs. 25000 per month while against the other half some 1500 teachers in salary brackets of Rs. 70000 per month are forced to work as clerks & accounts officer.

Teachers teaching in class IX & XI are working in the most frustrating atmosphere as for last 8 years they are forced to fail almost half the students as Sisodia - Ms. Atishi duo want only meritorious students to go up to class X & XII so that they give best results.

Similarly the forced use of first & eighth periods in daily time table for happiness & co circular activities means that students loose almost 25% of teaching time every day.

Apart from this Kejriwal government is misusing education funds on employing its party cadre. Some 1027 Estate Managers and around 1000 contract clerks have been kept from AAP cadre without following proper rules & regulations at a monthly salary.

The splashing of public money to garner support for AAP doesn't stop here, Delhi government is running a Business Blaster Scheme under which all class XI & XII students are given Rs. 2000 per annum to develop business ideas. One can well imagine that no business idea can be developed in Rs. 4000.

The actual purpose of the Business Blaster Scheme is to dole out cash money to school students most of whom grow up as 18 years youth by the time they complete class XII and become first time voter. There is all the possibility of their youthful mind getting influenced by the Rs. 4000 they got.

Shri Sachdeva has said its regrettable that those who claim to have developed a world class education model have actually lowered the standard of teaching in government schools.
