Congress to protect the interest of SC/STs and Backward classes from the attacks of the BJP through its SamvidhanRakshak campaign –Devender Yadav

 


Delhi should take the lead in increasing the number of SamvidhanRakshaks—Ajay Maken

NEW DELHI, August 16, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav said that the BJP Government has been constantly mounting attacks on  the Constitution and deprive the SC/STs and the Backward communities of the protection given to them in it, and Congress has been fighting against it by starting the “Save Constitution Campaign”, which will be unitedly carried out in all the 70 Assembly constituencies  of Delhi.

 

Addressing the launch of the SamvidhanRakshak Campaign at the Dy. Speaker Hall, Constitution Club, here today, Shri Devender Yadav  said that it was a remarkable feat to enroll 3,00,000 SamvidhanRakshaks by the Dalit Congress across the country in a 100-day national campaign from 15th August, 2024 to 26th November, 2024 to save the Constitution of India.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that for the past 10 years, the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and the Backward communities were being subjected to attacks and subjugation by the BJP in Delhi and all across the country to deprive them of the rights and privileges given to them in the Constitution, and weaken these communities in every possible manner. He said that the Congress party, under the dynamic leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi, had mounted an aggressive Save Constitution campaign for protecting the rights and previleges ensured them in the Constitution. He said that due to the authoritarian ways of the BJP, the atmosphere in the country has been vitiated and polluted, and the Constitution was under threat.

 

AICC treasurer Shri Ajay Maken said that Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi have been waging a relentless battle to save the Constitution from BJP’s attacks  and its concerted attempts to undermine the Constitution. He said that Shri Rahul Gandhi has made the Save Constitution campaign as his main aim in life, as only Congress and Shri Rahul Gandhi have been fighting to save the Constitution. He said that Shri Rahul Gandhi has been raising issues concerning the people from streets to Parliament, which had it echo all across the country, creating great awareness among the people for the need to Save the Constitution, as the BJP has been snatching away the rights of the poor people. He said it was necessary to save the Constitution to save Democracy as the BJP was making every attempt to undermine both. He said that it was necessary to increase the number of SamvidhanRakshaks and Delhi should take the lead.

 

Chairman of the AICC SC Department Shri Rajesh Lilothia said that a national programme with SamvidhanRakshaks from across the country will be held at the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi on 26th November, 2024 to save the Constitution of India.
