DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav welcomes many leaders of BJP, AAP to Congress fold

 

NEW DELHI, August 29, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav welcomed several BJP and Aam Aadmi Party leaders, along with their supporters, from Timarpur, Burari, Model Town and Karawal Nagar Assembly to the Congress fold by offering them the party scarf at an impressive function at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan here today. For the past many days, a number of  leaders of BJP and AAP, along with their supporters, had joined the Congress, as they believed in the policies and programmes of the Congress party, and the dynamic leadership of Mallikarjun Khage and Shri Rahul Gandhi.

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that the return of former Councillor and MLA candidate from Timarpur Smt. Amarlatha Sangwan to Congress will strengthen the party. Smt. Sangwan said that she was disillusioned with the communal and sectarian politics of the BJP as it was not doing any work for the benefit of the people.

 

Besides Shri Devender Yadav, others present were Chairman of Communication Department and former MLA Shri Anil Bhardwaj, former MLA Kunwar Karan Singh, District President Adesh Bhardwaj, Observer Lokendra Chaudhary, Dr. PK Mishra, Mahila Congress President Pushpa Singh

 

Shri Devender Yadav said that all those who return to the Congress family will be accorded equal importance and places as they will also play a very crucial role in strengthening the party from the booth-level in the Capital.
