Former Minister and Seemapuri MLA of AAP Shri Rajender Pal Gautam joins the Congress--influenced by Shri Rahul Gandhi’s call for justice and equality to all—Devender Yadav

 


NEW DELHI, September 6, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav said that the credibility of the Kejriwal Government has  plummeted so fast that sitting Aam Aadmi Party MLA of Seemapuri and former Minister  Shri Rajendra Pal Gautam  joined the  Congress today when he was draped with the Congress scarf by AICC General Secretary  Shri K.C.Venugopal, as he was greatly influenced by the dynamic leadership of Leader of the Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi, who was speaking up for the Dalits, marginalized, downtrodden and backward communities, and demanding social justice and equality for all. Shri Gautam said that he  was  touched  by Shri Rahul Gandhi’s call of “Nafrat Ke Bazar Me Mohabbath Ki Dukkahn”, which was the need of the hour to banish hate mongering, give equal rights and opportunities to every citizen in the country.

 

Others present, besides Shri K.C.Venugopal and Shri Devender Yadav, were Chairman, Media and Publicity Department Shri Pawan Khera, senior leader Shri K.Raju and Chairman, SC/ST Department of AICC  Rajesh Lilothia.  

 

Shri Rajender Pal Gautam said that he was disillusioned with the Kejriwal Government which did not do anything for the exploited section of society, including Dalits, as the AAP Government was functioning without any aim, purpose and direction. He said that  the elected representatives were getting disillusioned as the Government had failed on all fronts.

 

Lawyers from BJP, AAP join Congress in the presence of DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav

 

Nearly 72 lawyers of BJP and Aam Aadmi Party today joined the Congress in the presence of DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav, who draped them with the Congress scarfs, at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan. Among those who joined the Congress, at the initiative of Chairman of the Legal and Human Rights Department Advocate  Sunil Kumar,  were influenced by Shri Rahul Gandhi’s call for  protecting the sanctity of the Constitution. Besides Shri Devender Yadav, others present were Chairman of the Communications Department and ex-MLA Shri Anil Bhardwaj, ex-MLA Rajesh Jain, Adv. Sunil Kumar and AICC co-ordinator Adv. Karan Singh.
