Monthly District meetings activate the Congress workers—Congress gains strength at the grass-root level, as people want Congress back in power—Devender Yadav

 

NEW DELHI, September 10, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav appealed to the people of Delhi to elect a Government that works for their benefit and welfare, solve their problems, and for the development of the Capital, by removing a non-performing, corrupt Government whose motto has been corruption, commission and cheating. He said that Congress was gaining strength at the grass-root level, which will bolster the party at the booth-level, and this dramatic change was evident from the enthusiastic presence of Congress workers and leaders in the monthly meetings at the Block and District levels.

 

Addressing Congress workers and leaders and local residents at the monthly District Congress Committee meetings, which were held in all the 14 Districts across Delhi, Shri Devender Yadav said that in the recent weeks, there has been an influx of leaders and workers of BJP and Aam Aadmi Party into the Congress family, as they were disillusioned with both these parties for their non-performance and misgovernance, and look upto Congress to come to power  in Delhi. He said that people were greatly influenced by the dynamic leadership of the party by Leader of the Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi, who speaks up for every section of people, and works to solve their problems.

 

The District Congress Committee meetings were attended by ex-MPs, ex-Ministers, ex-MLAs,  Municipal Councillors, ex-Councillors, senior leaders, prominent local citizens and a large number of Congress workers. Shri Devender Yadav said that the monthly Block and District Congress Committee meetings have activated the  workers and leaders, and their regular interaction with the people, and door to door visits to understand their problems, have boosted the image of the  party, and consolidated the party’s presence at all levels. He said that Congress is the only party which battles for the rights of the people, to find solutions to their problems.

Shri Devender Yadav said that Delhiites now regret electing the Kejriwal Government to power, and want Congress back in the saddle. He said that in the past 10 years, the Aam Aadmi Party had only made hollow promises, stalled all development works, allowed the deterioration of civic services and infrastructure. He said that education in Government schools has deteriorated and the health services in the Government hospitals were in a shambles, as the Kejriwal Government had time only for indulging in corruption.
